Traditionally, organisations looking to make a 'step-change' in safety performance have concentrated on developing systems, procedures and technical training.  Whilst these are important, there is a growing realisation that this approach has its limits.  Best practice shows that to achieve a real breakthrough in performance, the emphasis needs to be person centred rather than soley procedure centred.

At people=positive™ we believe in creating champions rather than cheerleaders.  Creating a successful vision for safety in any organisation has to start from the 'top' and leading by example is key.  Being aligned as a leadership team is essential.
All people=positive™ safety leadership programmes are designed to deliver:

The Safety Rope
This is an innovative awareness-based Safety Leadership Programme, designed to meet the needs of the Oil and Gas Industry’s 'Step Change in Safety' initiative.  It is fully accredited by OPITO.  We use a variety of accelerated learning techniques and experiential activities to encourage a growth in awareness of self and others and an examination of attitudes, habits and behaviour.  The goal is to guide participants into a different "relationship with safety".
 
Safety Forums and Conferences
Due to our experience, we are regularly asked to facilitate internal initiatives.  These include cross-industry safety rep forums; coaching internal trainers to deliver in-house safety programmes; organising safety conferences and developing a vision for safety with project teams.
